761st Woodworks offers hands-on woodworking sessions through both a Professional Development track and a Youth Program, designed to build skills, confidence, and creativity in a safe, supportive shop environment.
Our Professional & Development sessions focus on teaching adults the fundamentals and advanced techniques of woodworking—everything from tool safety and shop etiquette to joinery, project planning, and finishing. Participants work on real projects (such as small furniture, shop fixtures, or custom pieces) while learning to read plans, measure accurately, and use hand and power tools correctly. Emphasis is placed on problem-solving, craftsmanship, and transferable skills that support career growth in the trades, entrepreneurship, or personal development.
Our Youth Program sessions introduce young people to woodworking through age-appropriate projects that are both fun and educational. Students learn basic tool use, workshop safety, and design concepts by creating projects they can take home—such as boxes, shelves, or simple toys. Along the way they develop fine motor skills, patience, teamwork, and pride in their work. Each session is guided by experienced mentors who model safe habits and encourage creativity and responsibility.
Across all programs, 761st Woodworks is committed to:
- Safety first – Clear instruction, supervised tool use, and a structured environment.
- Skill-building – Progressive lessons that move from basic to more advanced techniques.
- Mentorship – Instructors who support learners at every level, from beginner to advanced.
- Community – A welcoming space that fosters respect, collaboration, and long-term growth.
Whether you’re an adult looking to advance your skills or a young person just starting out, 761st Woodworks provides a pathway to learn the craft of woodworking and build something lasting—both in the shop and in life.
